Director of Media Relations

Majic Productions is a leading event services and audiovisual production company specializing in live events, corporate experiences, and high-impact productions. We partner with clients to deliver seamless, engaging, and technically flawless events through innovative production solutions.

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Media Relations to lead our public relations and media outreach efforts. This role is responsible for shaping the company’s public image, building strong media relationships, and driving brand visibility across key markets.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and hands-on executor, with experience in media relations, communications, and brand positioning preferably within events, media, or production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy aligned with company goals
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers
• Manage press outreach, media pitching, and interview coordination
• Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and company announcements
• Monitor media coverage and track brand visibility and sentiment
• Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams on campaigns and messaging
• Manage crisis communications and reputation management when needed
• Identify opportunities for speaking engagements, partnerships, and press features

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications
• Proven track record of securing media coverage and building press relationships
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Experience working in events, entertainment, or production industries is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field (preferred)
